Addie + Jordan :: Love in the Garden…with a Centaur!

I met Addie when I did her sister April’s wedding (lovingly known as the Willie Wonka wedding) and I remember her coming up to me and telling me when she got married I would plan her wedding. Years later the wedding dreams came true!

Addie and Jordan are hands down one of the most stylish and fun couples I have ever met! Our meetings were laid back, creative, and a blast – especially the tastings. Addie’s known for her superb style and she knew exactly what she wanted for the wedding. I was tasked with bringing the outside in and adding some dramatic flair to boot. Somehow along the way having a centaur created to look like Jordan was added, and it became the hit of the night and a truly unforgettable detail. The gold mirrored dance floor, real leaf cake linen, and boozy favors provided tons of wow, and guests danced (and DRANK) the night away.

I love you guys and am so happy for you and your new addition. Seriously Addie, how you can be a Doctor, new mom, look flawless and STILL possess the most beautiful soul is inspiring. Jordan, you are pretty great yourself!

Centaur lover for life,
Gina

Joy + Andrew :: Must. Have. Drama.

It is no secret that I LOVE the drama that great design creates. I am a sucker for a great “wow” and love seeing a look carried through from beginning to end. Joy came into my life via her cousin (and an amazing musician-front man Carols of Sauce) and we both still thank him! We […]

Katherine + Kevin :: An English Garden Blooms at The Historic Driskill

I remember my first meeting with Katherine and her mother, Jackie, one morning at the Hotel Saint Cecilia. They were so kind and lovely. Katherine was marrying Kevin at one of my favorite venues – The Driskill. Bonus – Jackie’s British accent made everything she said sound so wonderful. They walked out of our meeting […]

Sarah + Travis :: Color Me In Love

I LOVE this entire family SO much! Sarah, whose sweet smile and energy are contagious; Travis, the groom – who we all lovingly referred to as Groomzilla, GZ for short – to Sarah’s fun-loving parents, David and Shirley. Every invitee knew THIS would be a P.A.R.T.Y. And thanks to Sarah’s phenomenal taste (seriously, always dressed […]

Paige + John:: The WHITE Wedding

When I met Paige, she was in high school! She was a member of the house party of one of my fave weddings ever – Matt and Andrea – almost a decade ago! I have since produced tons of weddings for this Houston bunch and they are always SO. MUCH. FUN. Paige was no different, […]

Kelly and Walt :: Classic with a Twist

Planning and designing a wedding for one of the hottest handbag designers in Texas was a bit intimidating…and then I met her mama, the QUEEN OF DETAILS and it got real. Kelly and Pam are a dynamic duo and they KNOW how to host a fabulous party. We all had the best time making Kelly’s […]

Samantha and Brennan: When Napa comes to town!

My love for wine and Napa is not something I am shy about. When I meet clients who are not only as enthusiastic as I am about the wine country – but want their wedding to have the “Napa feel” – I am in HEAVEN! Samantha and Brennan wanted to have their ceremony at Sam’s […]

Stacey and Matt’s Hill Country Wedding

I have a love/hate relationship with doing friend’s weddings. I loooooove being able to show how much they mean to me by planning their big day and bringing their vision to life. The flip side is that I hate all the pressure that I put on myself. When Stacey and Matt got engaged, I was […]

Thankful

What does Thanksgiving mean to me? Is it a controversial “holiday” based on pilgrimage or the passing of cholera? Nope. Is it a day of travel and stress and spending time with people I don’t care to? Nope. I have reshaped the way I think of this day. Several years ago we started hosting Thanksgiving […]
